This is the day the Lord has made.

Here ends another busy weekend of visitors and fellowship. Yesterday we had 6 secondary students plus George working on fixing our bumpy sana barabara (very bumpy road). It was hot and the boys worked hard but we really need a grader. Haven’t seen too many of those around here though!

I did some English tutoring in the afternoon and then we had Lucy Klein for a sleep over last night. This morning we went to home church at the Klein’s. I can honestly say that Home Church is my favourite part of the week. Four adults and 5 kids singing songs, praying and reading Gods word – in English is enough to sustain me for the next fortnight. (On the alternate weeks the Klein’s attend a local church and we tend to visit other villages church’s). Then while Rose takes the kids for Sunday School, which my boys love, we listen to a podcast sermon, again in English. It is a really encouraging time.

This morning we read together Psalm 118. It is a great Psalm and we were reminded to rejoice in the Lord always despite the challenges we may be facing for this is the day the Lord has made. So even when we are fed up with home school, or missing our friends in Australia or frustrated by Africa time, we must remember; This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118: 24.

So tomorrow is a new week, the boys are finding life tough which in turn makes life tough for us. Please keep praying for them and us. I was prepared that life here would have challenges but I didn’t expect that to include such unhappy kids. Pray for wisdom and patience for Rob and I as we deal with the frustrations and the blow ups from the boys. We are looking forward to our 4 day break in Rwanda when mum arrives in only a few short weeks.
