Tired and weary

I know I’ve said it before but I will say it again. Feeling tired and weary and needing to draw on the strength of the Lord. So tonight at our family devotion we read the last part of Isaiah 40.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God the Creator of all the earth. He will not grow tired and weary and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV

These words were in the song we used for our awareness video. We listened to the Lincoln Brewster song tonight Everlasting God. We remembered how we left Australia full of excitement and assurance that we were going to a place to do the work God had prepared us to do. While we still believe this, these words ring even truer – God is the EVERLASTING God. He will not grow weary even when we are weary. Those who hope in the Lord will soar on wings like eagles.
