Home Schooling !!!

Home SchooledToday was our first morning of home schooling. It went ok. There is much bribing and threats to get the boys to focus for 2 hours, with a ½ break in the middle. The promise is if they work hard today and tomorrow, we will go to Ngara tomorrow and get a soda. We need to go to Ngara to pick up the uniforms and post the letters they wrote today at ‘school’.

Oliver did very well learning his first 4 letters; a, m, s, and t and his first sight words; am, I, a, boy, girl and his name Oliver. I was very impressed by his recall, we will see what he still remembers tomorrow. Mitchell was a great help assisting Oliver while I was tied up with Jake. Jake as per his school reports has some issues staying focused on task, but on the whole he did well. Mitchell was very studious and did everything I asked.

I have sent them off to find Rob now who is helping up at the church this week in preparation for synod.

I will go and stick my head in at the nursing school as well and do a bit more work in the library. I also need to get a ‘crash course’ orientation in the hospital so I can be available to assist the students on clinical.

We love hearing news from home either by post or email. I will check the post tomorrow when in town and let you know if your letters have arrived.

I am glad to hear it’s a bit cooler in Sydney now. Hope for your sake the hot spell is over.
